Kathy’s first published novel, Shadows in the Mist, was released by the Berkley Publishing Group in the 1990s. Since then she has written the three books of a supernatural thriller The Full Wolf Moon Trilogy (Book I Full Wolf Moon, Book II Bitten, and Book III Chosen), the paranormal mystery Voyagers: A Mystery, A Ghost’s Tale, A Love Story, and numerous pieces of short fiction.

Kathy has also written a premise for video game developer Supermassive Games and created a character for Antimatter Games’ online board game Shadow Sea: Conquest of the Underground World.

She is currently finishing a YA science fiction adventure with a steampunk flavor.

In 2006 and 2019, she was hand-picked by best selling, award-winning authors and screenwriters Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Shutter Island, World Gone By) and Micheal Koryta (The Chill, So Cold the River, When She Wakes) to attend their personally led prestigious Writers In Paradise workshops at Eckerd College.

The writers that have influenced Kathy are as diverse as her fiction. Gothic legend Edgar Allan Poe, mythologist Joseph Campbell, magical realist Toni Morrison, literary horror author Anne Rice, crime thriller writers Dennis Lehane and Michael Koryta have all had a hand in shaping her work.

Originally from southwest Missouri, Kathy has lived in the Tampa Bay Area since 2001. Nothing short of an apocalypse is likely to uproot her. She’s very active in the St. Petersburg/Tampa literary community and has participated in the Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading, Keep St. Pete Lit’s SunLit Festival, and several events hosted by Wordier Than Thou.
